Established in 2005, the Prince Edward Island BioAlliance (PEI BioAlliance) is the private not-for profit sector-led, partnership of businesses, research and academic institutions, and government agencies dedicated to building the bioscience sector in Prince Edward Island (PEI) and beyond. We believe that developing a pipeline of skilled talent for the Canadian bioscience sector is of critical importance to the future of the industry in our region and in our country. Our 15-year history of building human resources (HR) capacity locally has generated a passion, established partnerships, and strengthened our commitment to address this challenge for Canada.
What is the Unique Opportunity that Awaits You?
The purpose of this role is to support the partnership development and client services function of CASTL to promote and deliver the CASTL Online Academy and industry technical training while also supporting marketing and communications efforts.
What Will You be Doing?
- Develop, implement and manage social media content for CASTL on its various platforms.
- Day to day management and upkeep of the CASTL Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.
- Conduct market research about Canadian biopharma industry trends and other research as required.
- Provide customer service support for the CASTL Online Academy and for the internal CASTL training team in the delivery of high-quality bioprocessing online training.
- Develop, in collaboration with the Director of Communication and the CASTL Program Manager, marketing materials including: promotional brochures, power point presentations, e-newsletters, and others as required.
- Maintain the CASTL website content.
Any other reasonable duties as may be required from time to time by your manager.

You are passionate about marketing and content development – you love storytelling! You also enjoy providing customer service excellence and problem solving for the best possible outcome. Relevant experience or education in life sciences and bilingualism will be an asset in this role.
- A passion for marketing and social media content development and storytelling
- Strong customer centric focus and customer service skills are a must
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential for this role.
- Highly-organized individual with past experience using tools for newsletter distribution, website content management, or a demonstrated aptitude to learn new technologies quickly
- Be personable and operate with a high degree of integrity, transparency and professional values
- Interest in working in a fast-paced and quickly growing team to deliver products and services across Canada
- A willingness to learn and grow in an exciting and priority sector for Canada
Requirements:
- 2-5 years’ experience in marketing or communication
- Relevant education marketing or communications or a combination of education and experience
- Relevant experience in providing customer service excellence in a professional business setting
- Relevant education or work experience in life sciences, preferably in biotechnology, would be considered an asset
- Bilingualism would be considered an asset
Salary
