OUR VISION
CASTL is the recognized leader of talent development in Canada’s world-renowned life sciences sector. CASTL facilitates ongoing collaborative relationships between industry and academia, providing innovative training solutions across the country. CASTL is the talent engine that powers Canada’s biopharmaceutical manufacturing sector.

WHY CASTL? WHY NOW?
Currently, there is a disconnect between theoretical knowledge and training, and the skills to meet industry needs and support growth. This challenge, coupled with the rapid growth of Canada’s bioscience sector, creates the need for a larger labour pool, and one that is highly-skilled and qualified. CASTL will address these gaps with industry-informed programming consisting of world-class curriculum, hands-on technical training, and real-world performance that will ensure highly skilled and qualified personnel will power the growth and success of Canada’s biopharmaceutical manufacturing sector.

FOR INDUSTRY
CASTL’s unique training program allows current employees the opportunity to learn and practice complex bioprocessing procedures. Working with our academic partners, CASTL provides students with a pipeline of highly-skilled and qualified employees, who are work-ready. CASTL pairs theoretical knowledge with hands-on technical training and professional skills development, to establish confidence, build job satisfaction and increase retention.

FOR ACADEMIA
CASTL collaborates with post-secondary institutions to support their delivery of bioscience curriculum that is dynamic and industry informed. With a specialization in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, students at participating institutions will have access to industry-informed training giving them a competitive edge and the credentials they need to grow in their careers.
