
About CASTL
CASTL is a federally incorporated not-for-profit organization dedicated to building a highly skilled workforce for Canada’s biomanufacturing and life sciences sector. Operating from three training facilities in Charlottetown, Montreal, and Vancouver, we provide industry-leading hands-on and online training in collaboration with the National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT) in Dublin, Ireland.
CASTL is funded through a combination of training revenue from industry partners and government support, with an annual operating budget of approximately $7.5 million.
Scope of Work
The selected audit firm will be responsible for:
- Conducting financial statement audits and preparing annual financial reports
- Evaluating accounting procedures and identifying risk areas
- Preparing and filing corporate tax returns (T2 and T1044)
- Presenting audit findings to the Finance Committee and Board of Directors
- Conducting project-specific audits as required
Submission Guidelines
CASTL invites proposals from firms with demonstrated experience in auditing not-for-profit organizations. Proposals should outline:
- Firm qualifications and audit team experience
- Proposed audit methodology and timeline
- Cost structure for the three-year engagement
